The Lancashire Care Association (LCA) formed earlier in 2026 is proud to announce it's first conference being held at Preston North End (PNE).

The agenda for the day is as follows:
0830: Registration & refreshments
0930: Welcome, housekeeping, setting the scene for the LCA and the day
1000: A panel discussion, title; The Future of Adult Social Care in Lancashire, considering increased challenges and reduced funding with Lancashire, Blackpool and Blackburn with Darwen Directors of Adult Social Services (DASs); Helen Coombes, Mark Warren and Martin Lawton (taking up post in Blackpool in August 2026).
1100: Refreshment break & time for networking
1130: Hear from James Creegan - CEO of Kirklees and Calderdale Care Association about recent successes for their Care Association and ways in which Lancashire Social Care providers can get involved with the LCA to provide benefit to all.
1150: Roundtable discussions - planning for the future & LCA action planning
1300: Lunch & networking
1345: Platinum sponsor - Training Works will be sharing key Apprenticeship updates
1400: CQC's Pharmacist Specialist - Alicia Painter will be discussing what good and outstanding medication management in adult social care looks like
1445: Refreshment break & networking
1515: The national Moving and Handling expert Stuart Winward from Winward Training and Compliance will be providing real world insights; From non-compliance to compliance, a care providers journey back to safe and effective practice. Cut cost, not care: rethinking training.
1600: Charlotte Nuttall from Ward Hadaway; the LCA's silver sponsor will be discussing; The future of Care Staffing; Employment Rights, Immigration Reform and Workforce Planning.
There will be refreshments throughout the day; please indicate if you have any dietary requirements or allergies so they can be catered for.
There will be breakout rooms for private meetings as required throughout the day should you need to make any private calls or attend private meetings.
There will be a small number of complimentary tickets for people with lived experience. so please do share the link with service users and their families. There will be bespoke sessions for them following the panel discussion with the DASs. These bespoke sessions will include;
