About this Event
Lana Del Rabies, Trace Amount, Insula Iscariot with Fuedal on Sunday, July 12 at The Wayfarer in Costa Mesa, CA!
Lana Del Rabies, conceived by Los Angeles based artist Sam An, is a captivating force in underground dark electronic and heavy music. The name references early work where she sampled female pop musicians into melancholic noise tracks, evolving over the years into a distinct blend of industrial, gothic noise, and experimental metal. Her work delves into the brutality of human existence in a world overshadowed by the threat of apocalypse.Praised by critics for her unique blend of quietly macabre and wildly maximalist music, the name references early work where she sampled female pop musicians into melancholic noise tracks. Now you know.
Trace Amount is the visceral solo project of Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist, producer, and visual artist Brandon Gallagher. Known for a sound that aggressively fuses textured industrial and metallic soundscapes with a relentless drum and bass assault, anti-club rhythms, and hardcore intensity, Trace Amount constantly defies genre boundaries. While hesitant to be strictly labeled "industrial," a term often considered limiting, Trace Amount's innovative songwriting and dynamic performances have earned them stages alongside a diverse range of artists, including The Soft Moon, White Ring, Pharmakon, HIDE, Author & Punisher, and The Black Queen.
Insula Iscariot is an experimental act rooted in the spirit of industrial and noise music. Their performances are known for creating a bleak and uncompromising atmosphere, balancing heavy rhythmic moments with vulnerable discomfort and confrontation. Their debut album, “Bloodflow (A Milky Fluid),” paints a destructive self portrait with skin crawling sound design and frail, harsh vocals.
