About this Event
Join Zoe from Mustard and Gray for a relaxed and creative three-hour workshop where you'll learn how to make your own contemporary drum lampshade from start to finish.
You’ll be guided through each stage of the process, from choosing and positioning your fabric to assembling and professionally finishing your shade. There will be a beautiful selection of Mustard and Gray designed fabrics to choose from, or you’re very welcome to bring your own fabric if you have something special in mind.
Along the way you’ll learn how to work with different fabrics and papers, how to achieve a clean professional finish, and tips for making lampshades at home — whether for fun, gifts, or even to sell.
This is a friendly, hands-on session suitable for beginners, with plenty of guidance throughout. By the end of the workshop you’ll head home with your own handmade lampshade and a new creative skill (and quite possibly a new creative obsession!).
This session is delivered by Zoe from Mustard and Gray, the creative force behind the Shropshire studio. Zoe’s work is inspired by the landscapes and rhythms of the natural world, with a playful design-led approach that brings personality to every piece.
With years of experience in printmaking, teaching, illustration and contemporary craft, Zoe is passionate about making creativity accessible to everyone. Her workshops are relaxed, welcoming spaces where you can try something new, enjoy the process, and leave with skills (and artwork) to be proud of.
Expect plenty of encouragement, down-to-earth tips, and a good dose of Mustard and Gray’s signature style – and always a little bit fun.
