Fun time out learning to make your very own drum lampshade. Must pre-book to reserve your space, 10 spaces per class.
We will make a medium diameter straight sided drum shade (approx 35cm suitable for table lamp)
The price includes everything needed except fabric. Please bring along 0.5m of standard width fabric of your choice to go around the circumference of your shade (MUST BE MINIMUM OF 1.35m) Cotton or linen is the best to use. Please NO silks, sheers or velvet/heavy upholstery fabric. If you decide to line your shade you will need the same amount of fabric in addition.
A small number of fabrics may be available to choose from for anyone who forgets to bring their own. These cut pieces will be approx $10-15 to purchase on the day (cash only). Occasionally Claire will bring along some designer fabrics which will be approx $45 per 0.5m cut from the roll.
WE DO NOT OFFER REMAKING OF OLD SHADES IN THIS CLASS, only the above sizing described. If you require a custom made or remade lampshade, we offer this service to make for you.
Refreshments and nibbles provided. Cafe for lovely coffees and pastries can be purchased almost nextdoor or just 5 min drive away into the lovely Devonport Village for lunch afterwards :)
