Our government is not protecting our community as it should. Families and individuals are facing racial profiling and targeted detentions, leaving many in crisis. With the administration refusing to fund SNAP, many people are losing their benefits for this month, including those who access the Calfresh program for food and basics. In addition, day laborers and street vendors who are being targeted by ICE are having difficulty getting work and staying safe while they support their families. Please help us support our local families with food and gently used clothing.Items Most Needed:
Snacks, fresh fruit, canned fruit, fruit cups, tuna, rice, beans, tortillas, bread, peanut butter, instant coffee, canned chili, cereal, water, assorted beverages, cleaning and hygiene supplies, razors and shaving cream for men, diapers (all sizes), wipes, formula, clean and gently used men's and children's clothing and shoes (all sizes).
Please drop off items along the Downey Ave side of the park.
