Lakeshore Holiday Parade

The Lakeshore Holiday Parade is an annual tradition in Downtown Manitowoc! Held the night before Thanksgiving at 6:00 p.m., the parade is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season with family and friends!
Over 80 entries including floats, marching bands, trucks, and walkers, will follow a route heading east at S 14th St on Washington St to S 8th St, then heading north on 8th St to Park St at The Rahr-West Art Museum.
To accommodate schedules of area Packers fans, the parade start time is a half hour earlier than previous years. Several establishments along the route will be showing the Packers vs. Rams game, which starts at 7 p.m. This list, as well as specials offered by downtown shops and eateries, will be available closer to the event.
The Sensory Sensitive Zone is the first two blocks of the parade, from S 14th St to S 12th St on Washington St. There will be no lights, loud music, or sirens in these blocks.
The public is welcome to bundle up and watch from the sidewalks anywhere along the route, staying on the curb or behind it.
If you can’t make it, a live radio broadcast will be available on WOMT Radio 1240 AM / 107.9 FM, and a Facebook Live will be streaming from the City of Manitowoc's Facebook page.
The Santa Reception will be held at the Rahr-West Art Museum before, 4:00- 5:30 p.m., and after the parade. This is a free event and children can meet with Santa, enjoy treats, and celebrate the opening night of Christmas in the Mansion.
Visit Manitowoc’s Visitor Information Center will be open the night of the parade. Stop inside at 824 S 8th Street before or during the parade to warm up and grab a free cup of hot chocolate, cookie, and glow wand while supplies last.
Volunteers and sponsorships are welcome! With a celebration this big, help is needed with the lineup and general crowd control and direction. Please contact the Visit Manitowoc Director of Tourism, Courtney Hansen [email protected] if you are interested in helping in any capacity.
If weather conditions (including, but not limited to, extreme wind, snow, ice or rain) will severely affect the safety of spectators and parade entries, the Lakeshore Holiday Parade will be cancelled and not rescheduled.
