Reconnect with nature, community, and your inner calm at MyOutdoorJoy’s Lake Norman Camp Out — a restorative weekend designed to spark joy, build confidence, and deepen your connection to the outdoors. Whether you’re an experienced camper or brand‑new to overnight adventures, this lakeside retreat blends relaxation, learning, and meaningful community moments.

Arrive between 4:00–7:00 p.m. to check in, set up camp, and settle into the peaceful surroundings. At 7:30 p.m., we’ll gather for a warm welcome with light snacks and an overview of the weekend. As night falls, enjoy an outdoor movie under the stars from 8:00–10:00 p.m., complete with popcorn and cozy camp chairs.

We’ll begin with a community breakfast, followed by a guided Kayak 101 lesson at the designated launch zone. First‑timers and returning paddlers will learn the basics before exploring the quiet inner bays of Lake Norman. MyOutdoorJoy provides all the equipment for Kayaking.

After lunch, choose your afternoon adventure:

• Introductory Mountain Biking Lesson + Guided Course, or
• Outdoor Skills Class: Build a Fire Without Matches

The late afternoon offers time to rest and recharge before we gather for a shared community dinner. The evening wraps with a lively family game night — bring a few favorites to share.

We’ll close the weekend with breakfast and a calming meditative hike, designed to ground the body and mind before heading home. Checkout is at 11:30 a.m., leaving you refreshed, renewed, and reconnected.
