Tuscaloosa Water is partnering with Tuscaloosa Paddleboards and Mountain High Outfitters to host the Lake Nicol Paddle Fest, a morning of paddling, friendly competition and lakeside fun in celebration of National Lakes Appreciation Month!
Whether you're an experienced paddler or just looking for a fun day outdoors, there's something for everyone.
Paddlers will navigate a marked route featuring the lake’s iconic cliffs, wooded shoreline and open water stretches before returning to the finish line. Open to both paddleboards and kayaks, this race is designed for participants looking for a fun challenge while experiencing one of Tuscaloosa’s most beautiful outdoor destinations. Awards will be presented to top finishers in each division.
Not interetsed in racing? The Fun Float follows the same course as the race without the pressure of competition. Whether you’re paddling with friends, family, or simply enjoying a peaceful morning on the water, the Fun Float is a great way to celebrate Tuscaloosa’s lakes and connect with the outdoors.
Spectators can view the race from the Outer Cliffs Trail.
