Volunteers are needed for the second Water Guardians clean up of 2026!
The Water Guardians is a program for local residents in kayaks, canoes, or on foot to assist with cleaning our water reservoirs. Our next scheduled lake clean up will occur on Saturday, June 27th from 8 am to noon at Lake McIntosh in Peachtree City.
Please arrive at the boat dock parking lot off of TDK Blvd. Initial orders have been placed for our new Water Guardian t-shirts! If you have not already received a 2026 shirt, please rsvp with your shirt sizes and names of participants to [email protected] as soon as possible so we can restock if needed.
Each volunteer will be provided a trash grabber, trash bags and bottled water. Please note that the liability waiver sent to all volunteers MUST be completed in order to participate. This also applies to previous volunteers. We'll have extra copies available at check in!
Please remember to bring your life vest if you are getting in the water, sunscreen, and a hat the day of the event. In event of rain, all registered participants will be notified via email with a rescheduled time and date.
Thanks to the generous support of the Fayette County Water System and our sponsors, light refreshments will be provided after the clean-up.
