Saturday Afternoon 1-Fish Challenge / Shootout
Browns Creek – Ballfields Boat Ramp (John Stewart, Jr. Ramp)
Starting: Saturday, April 25 (weekly)
Time: 2:00 PM – 6:30 PM (subject to adjustment) Blast off will be announced from directors boat at or around 2pm.
Entry Fee: $20 per angler (may increase to $25 based on participant input)
Format
• 1 fish per angler (no livewell limit)
• No dead fish will be weighed
• 100% payback
• Heaviest fish (lbs to decimal e.g. 9.36 lbs) wins the pot
Participation
• Every Angler must sign a Liability Release, Waiver of claims, Assumption of Risk & Indemnification Agreement before participating in this event. I will have them at the ramp and keep them on file.
• No limit on anglers per boat (must comply with USCG capacity for that vessel)
• Every angler in the boat must be a paid participant
• Honor system applies — fish weighed must be the fish YOU caught
Electronics Rule (No Forward-Facing Sonar)
• Forward-facing sonar (including LiveScope, ActiveTarget, Mega Live, etc.) is NOT permitted
• Non-live 360 imaging is allowed
Requirements:
• Any forward-facing sonar unit must be completely disconnected from power and removed from the bow prior to start time
• Any forward-facing sonar transducer must be unplugged or otherwise disabled so it cannot be used
If it can turn on, it’s not allowed.
• Violation of this rule will result in disqualification.
Eligibility
• No guides or professional anglers (tournament director discretion)
Weigh-In Procedure
• All anglers must check in at tournament director’s boat (near/just outside green channel marker) by 6:30 PM
• Weigh-in will begin after all participants are accounted for
• Do not block the boat lane or dock while waiting — use common courtesy
• No weigh bags — present fish from your livewell at director’s boat
• Angler may keep fish after weigh-in
General Rules
• All applicable lake and state regulations apply (largemouth, smallmouth, spotted bass)
• This is an honor-system event — the goal is to have fun, compete fairly, and enjoy the lake
Decisions
• All rules interpretation and enforcement are at the discretion of the tournament director and alternate director.
• All decisions are final

This event is intended to be a fun, competitive afternoon format focused on instinct, strategy, and time on the water.
The goal is to meet others, enjoy the lake, and keep things simple.
