Join NWALT for IRWP’s 7th Annual Illinois River Cleanup Saturday, April 18th, 2026 at Lake Frances Preserve! Whether you’re a longtime supporter or joining us for the first time, your participation helps improve water quality and build a stronger, more connected watershed community.This cleanup will be led by the Northwest Arkansas Land Trust along the Lake Frances Gate Road near Highway 59, and the meeting location is the grassy lot beside the iconic Lake Frances Sign!
This cleanup is land-based along a gravel road, so a pair of hiking or rubber boots is helpful to navigate any vegetation you come across.
Volunteer at the cleanup from 9 AM - 12 PM, then come celebrate our collective impact at the IRWP Pavilion in Cave Springs from 1 - 3 PM. There will be BBQ and a raffle featuring items generously donated from Pack Rat Outdoor Center and Gypsy_Camp & Canoe!
