We will meet at a City of Orlando public park on the northwest corner of Lake Fairview. Look for a sign shaped like a baseball that says, "Lake Fairview Park".The Central Florida Recon kayaks are shared on a first to arrive, first to launch basis. You can still make a difference by walking around the perimeter of the lake to pick up trash before it ends up in the lake. There is plenty of ground to cover and we have a supply of trash grabbers and buckets to share, feel free to bring your own bucket and grabber with you.
There is one covered pavilion near the boat ramp but there are NO public bathrooms on site.
You will be asked to read and sign a Cleanup Event Sign In and Indemnity Waiver before volunteering.
The event is scheduled for two hours and at the end we will combine all of our trash, weigh it and take a group photo.
Please bring a hat 👒 sunglasses 🕶 sunscreen, and water to keep hydrated.
