Join former KEA Board Member and Environmental Science teacher Jamie Esler for down to earth community service. Volunteers need to help pull weeds at the Lake City HS Xeriscape Garden.
The garden was renovated and redesigned by Lake City students in Spring 2025 with the generosity and financial support of the CDA Garden Club and the Plant Pro LLC.
It's an outdoor learning space that teaches students about the ecological benefits of native plant landscaping, pollinator habitats, and water-wise gardens.
Because the garden doesn't use herbicides, help is needed pulling a small amount of weeds before the school season starts up again.
Please bring your own gloves and hand tool if you have one. A small amount will be available for use.
Meet at the garden on the North side of the school grounds off of Hanley Road.
