and invite you to a one-of-a-kind outdoor yoga experience where jazz meets intentional movement — held on the tranquil grounds of Upper Marlboro's premier boutique wellness sanctuary, just before the Artist Meet & Greet begins.
Wellspring's serene outdoor setting becomes the stage: lush, unhurried, and designed to help you exhale. Against that backdrop, Tara Aura (RYT-200 since 2014) guides a fun, rhythmic flow that links movement to the breath. This beginner-level class is welcoming for yogis of all mobility levels, with detailed verbal instructions, modifications for beginners, and more challenging extensions for advanced students. Participants will stretch tense muscles, release mental pressure, and breathe deeper — with the healing power of jazz as the soundtrack. From Ella Fitzgerald to Ahmad Jamal, a custom Spotify playlist will be provided for each participant to carry the experience home.
Light refreshments provided. Please bring your own yoga mat.
About Tara Aura Tara Purnell aka Tara Aura is an interdisciplinary ritual artist, yoga teacher, and wellness consultant dedicated to collective care and liberation. She combines her family's rich legacy in jazz and arts education with over 10,000 hours of mindfulness and wellness practice. A 2025 Kennedy Center artist-in-residence and 2024–2025 DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities fellow, she previously served as Wellness Director at Eaton Workshop, producing over 700 community wellness events. Through her agency BLIND SEED, she creates transformative experiences for cultural institutions, universities, and mission-driven organizations.
