(NL) Wat gebeurt er met ons lichaam en onze emoties wanneer het virtuele steeds meer onze werkelijkheid binnendringt? Een vraag die (LA)HORDE op het lijf geschreven is. Het Franse danscollectief houdt de vinger aan de pols van de populaire cultuur. Met voorstellingen geïnspireerd door oa. raves en jumpstyle onderzoeken ze de effecten van het internet op het lichaam.
Age of Content baseert zich op de digitale esthetiek van videogame avatars, OnlyFans en virale TikTok moves en confronteert die op scène met elementen uit de postmoderne dans, jazz en de Hollywoodmusical. Na het fenomenale succes van Room With a View, waarin (LA)HORDE samenwerkte met de bekende producer Rone, belooft Age of Content opnieuw een opvallende dansvoorstelling te worden.
(ENG) What happens to our body and our emotions when the virtual increasingly invades our reality? A question that fits (LA)HORDE like a glove. The French dance collective keeps its finger on the pulse of popular culture. With performances inspired by raves and jumpstyle, among others, they investigate the effects of the internet on the body.
Age of Content is based on the digital aesthetics of video game avatars, OnlyFans and viral TikTok moves, and confronts them on stage with elements from postmodern dance, jazz and the Hollywood musical. After the phenomenal success of Room With a View, in which (LA)HORDE collaborated with the well-known producer Rone, Age of Content promises to be another remarkable dance performance.
