Bio of Speaker:
In 2019, at just 35 years old, Charlene faced a life-altering breast cancer diagnosis. Battling through the physical and emotional toll of chemotherapy, she discovered solace in essential oils that eased her pain and uplifted her spirit. Realizing there was no local essential oils brand in Singapore, Charlene seized this gap and founded Breathe Essentials Co., a company born from her personal healing journey.
However, Charlene’s journey of creation didn’t stop there. In the wake of a close friend’s passing from cancer, Charlene channeled her grief into a new form of expression. She began handcrafting Poufie Bags, blending her creative energy with a deep sense of purpose. To date, she has sold over 200 of these bespoke, handmade bags, each one a testament to the healing power of art. Charlene now shares the joy of creation through workshops, and she plans to launch digital tutorials to extend this passion to a broader audience.
Now in remission, Charlene lives each day with renewed strength and joy. Her advocacy for cancer survivors goes beyond words—she is dedicated to helping others navigate the complexities of post-cancer recovery, believing in the power of community and creative healing.
Charlene’s entrepreneurial spirit is undeniable. As the former founder of the popular dating app Paktor, she has long been driven by the idea of connection and support. Today, as a real estate agent, she continues her mission to create safe, nurturing spaces—believing that everyone deserves a home to find peace, heal, and thrive.
