Get Ready for the LAD Witches Paddle!

Join the Lake Acworth Dragons for one of Acworth's most magical Halloween traditions! Witches, warlocks, and their enchanted friends will take to the water on stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes (watercraft not provided) for a morning of spooky fun.

Don't have your own watercraft? No problem! Our event partner, Murph's Surf, is offering registered participants 30% off kayak and paddleboard rentals for the event. Your discount code and rental instructions will be included in your registration confirmation email.

Participants (ages 14+) are encouraged to dress in their most bewitching costumes and deck out their craft with skeletons, spiders, ghosts, and other eerie decorations. Even well-behaved pets are welcome to join the fun!

Registration is $40 (plus Eventbrite service fees) and closes when we reach capacity. Spectators are free and do not need to register. Get 20% off with our special Early Bird Pricing only through 8/30!

Every participant must sign a waiver (link will be sent in confirmation email), so please register with a valid email address. You must have a signed waiver and event wristband before entering the water.

Safety first: There are no lifeguards on duty, so prior paddling experience is strongly encouraged. Please bring your PFD (personal flotation device).

Event Schedule

9:00 AM: Check-in opens at Cauble Park (free parking). Please check in before unloading your board or gear. Check-in is organized by last name—just follow the signs.

10:00 AM: We fly...er, paddle!

12:30 PM: Return to shore for raffle drawings, prizes for Best Costume and Best Decorated Craft, food and drink vendors, and event swag for all participants.
