Lace Weaving on a Panel Loom

Join us for an easy Saturday to weave a lacy panel that lets sunlight through! Using a frame tapestry loom, dress the loom with threads, weave and twist them to make light and intricate lace patterns. Students will take home a small lace weave tapestry to hang or display.

Artist-instructor Kathryn Gauldin has a never-ending relationship with fibers. Pattern, color, light, structure and nature are the biggest inspirations for weaving, dyeing and constructing pieces. Residencies, workshops and exhibits are an opportunity to share and give back to the community of teachers, weavers, and makers that helped guide her on a woven journey.
