Aug 10, 7:30 PMMik Templeton is a saxophonist based out of Durham, NC. Originally from California, he developed as a musician in South Carolina and Illinois before moving to North Carolina. In addition to jazz, he also can be heard playing in rhythm & blues, folk/bluegrass, and classical contexts. Mik Templeton has played with the University of Illinois Concert Jazz Band, the North Carolina Jazz Repertory Orchestra, the North Carolina Symphony Orchestra, and with various Triangle area bands and musicians.
Mik is also a member of the Wilted Plums, a progressive acoustic-roots band who won 1st place at the Hoppin John Fiddler’s Convention and performed recently at the 20th Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival in Pittsboro, NC.
Cole Nichols is a guitarist from the Outer Banks of North Carolina that has been playing music around the state for over a decade. He is a graduate of East Carolina University’s Jazz Studies program and has performed at various festivals, clubs and listening rooms around North Carolina. Based out of Raleigh, he can regularly be heard playing around the Triangle in different genres including Jazz, Rock and Americana. Cole combines his love for the tradition of Jazz with the wide-ranging history of the electric guitar to create improvised music.
