The Kids Running Program will run June 3 to July 1, with the first session on Monday, June 3. The program meets Mondays and Thursdays, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. at Lions 3 Shelter in Deming Park. Participants will then run in The Mile which will be held Thursday, July 4.The Kids Running Program is FREE to 4-13 year olds. The Wabash Valley Road Runners Kids Running Program promotes the FUNdamentals of Youth Running! We will work to make running fun, emphasize good technique, work on participation and self-improvement, and consider individual differences.
Training will run from June 3 to July 1. We are ultimately working towards THE MILE race on July 4! By participating in the program, you will get a program shirt, FREE entry into THE MILE race (NOT including a Mile shirt), and a pizza party on July 5!
Proper running attire is highly recommended for the safety of the children. Proper laced-up tennis shoes and comfortable clothes are suggested. Each child will need to bring their own labeled drink.
