This summer, Labyrinth Ontario reignites its Modal Music in the Parks series with 4 outdoor concerts in RV Burgess park. For the third performance in this series, we are delighted to present the Labyrinth Ensemble Trio. This group consists of Labyrinth Ensemble musicians present and future, who study with rotating guest modal musicians who are experts in their craft: Roa Lee (Gayageum), Naoko Tsujita (Percussion), Aysel Taghi-Zada (Violin).

Don’t miss this series of performances highlighting cultures from Europe, Western China, through Central and South Asia. Each is distinctive, but related through the modal music system. Labyrinth Ontario actively performs this centuries old practice, while renewing it through contemporary interpretations and new compositions.
