Labour Hire Information Session - Manufacturing Industries

Labour hire services are broadly where a business supplies staff to work at a host business.

Under Victorian law, labour hire providers must hold a licence, and anyone using their services must only use licensed providers. Penalties exceeding $630,000 can apply for non-compliance.

If your company provides labour hire services, it’s important to understand and meet your licence obligations – to maintain your business, avoid penalties, and contribute to a fairer industry.

Information session

LHA is holding a tailored information session for businesses that use or provide labour hire services in the manufacturing industry.

The session will be presented by Labour Hire Licensing Commissioner, Steve Dargavel, and will cover:

• Businesses’ obligations under Victorian labour hire law

• What to expect from an LHA site visit

• Tools and resources to support businesses

There will also be an opportunity to speak with the Commissioner and ask questions

Getting to the venue

The Treasury Theatre is located a short walking distance of Parliament Station. Access to the theatre entrance is via stairs leading down from the Upper Plaza at street level, next to the Treasury Deli on 1 Macarthur Street.
