Los Angeles is preparing to be a major hub for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with SoFi Stadium set to host eight matches, including the U.S. Men’s National Team’s opening game and a quarterfinal. To accommodate the World Cup's unique needs, SoFi Stadium will undergo adjustments in 2024 to expand its capacity and optimize the pitch to meet FIFA’s regulations. This stadium, one of the most advanced globally, will be among 16 venues across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
