LA-Style Salsa Crash Course

Interested in learning or refreshing your LA-Style Salsa? If you have some experience in Cuban salsa (or any other couple dance), then this workshop is for you! It is also for you if you want to switch roles: you know how to lead, but have never followed -- or the other way around! It is also suitable if you haven't danced LA-style salsa for a long while and need a refresher!
In this two-hour workshop (with break), we take you through all of the main LA patterns, with a special focus on technique (and how it differs from Cuban Salsa).
We will cover how the emphasis, feeling, and leading differs in LA-style Salsa from Cuban salsa, and go through the main steps: the cross-body lead, left and right turn, and the titanic steps - and there will be some time in the end for practice!
This workshop also sets you up for the improver or intermediate-level classes starting May 4th: use the class to figure out whether you would prefer to do the basics with more detail, or whether it makes sense to skip to the higher level.

Car parking is not allowed in the courtyard. Public paid parking is available on Heimdalsgade. Outdoor shoes or shoes that can scratch or leave marks on the floor are not allowed inside the studios.
