In collaboration with Community House Copenhagen, we dedicate an evening to discuss the new rules which will affect food delivery workers.
As couriers, we often think that our partner agreements and contracts are the only things that affect our work. However, there are also external developments that can influence both our pay and our power within the sector. One important development currently in the pipeline is the Platform Work Directive.
This directive could change how courier partner agreements are written and may also result in some self-employed couriers being classified as employees. This could give couriers access to rights such as holiday pay, pensions, and even the right to elect representatives.
At this meeting, we will discuss how this affects the industry from a courier perspective and how we can use the directive to strengthen courier power in the sector. We will focus on the ETUC manual on the transposition of the Platform Work Directive and also discuss how the directive could affect Danish courier workplaces.
Everyone is welcome.
