The Mexican folk saint of death, Santa Muerte, has a rich and colorful history that blends indigenous practices and beliefs with Mexican folk Catholicism. In this Santa Muerte introductory course, Len will share a bit of historical information of La Santa Muerte, explaining how she's evolved from an indigenous Mexican goddess to a folk saint and how one can work with her today. Duration: 2 hours Cost: $25From La Hechicera Len: "I am a Mexican-American folk witch, and to me, this means my practice is influenced and inspired by the folklore and traditions of my ancestors as well as my lived experience as a transwoman in the American South. Santa Muerte and my ancestors are at the heart of my practice, and because of my ancestors' influence, there are aspects of Mexican Folk Catholicism in my practice."
