About this Event
**Event location is generalied, and exact meeting spot will be emailed 24 hours before start time.
Los Angeles has been through a lot this passt year, but I'm also hopeful that a better future can grow from the ashes, mud, floods, and ICE.
One way we can do that is to learn from our past mistakes to advocate for a better future. I happen to think the Los Angeles River is one of the best classrooms for this very lesson.
Join us to talk about the LA River history of dissaster, the poor choices our leaders made in their attempt to rebuild, a hopeful future that we are all pushing to replant, and how we can use all this to inform and advocate for better decision making to rebuild a more connected and holistic LA.
We will also be able to enjoy the peace that nature provides in a safe space, along the babbling banks of the River. Water quality reports and any recent rain will determine how close we will get to it (down along the edge, or walking on to the sandy soft bottom section). We will definitely be able to go on top of the River at one of my favorite pedestrian/bike bridges.
