La Luz – Downtown Summer Sounds

Soak in the psychedelic rock sound of La Luz at Occidental Square in downtown Seattle. This free outdoor concert is on Thursday, Aug. 20 and is part of Downtown Summer Sounds.
La Luz, the California psych-rock band led by guitarist and songwriter Shana Cleveland, is known for pairing swaggering riffs with dreamy harmonies and a singular mix of doo-wop, folk and surf-inspired psychedelia. Their acclaimed album News of the Universe marks a bold new chapter, transforming Cleveland’s experience with illness, motherhood and change into a record that is both haunting and triumphant.
