LA Get Down Festival: Celebration of Hip Hop & Spoken Word

This April, the 9th Annual LA Get Down Festival returns to Greenway Court Theatre, a month-long celebration of Hip Hop and Spoken Word in honor of National Poetry Month.

Join us for a series of incredible events; come take your shot to win cash prizes at the Hip Hop Cypher with The Neighborhood Kids, our Opening Ceremony headlined by Figgy Baby and workshops and showcases in collaboration with artists such as Soulstuf, Matt Sedillo, and Gay Bones Productions. We will also have a showing of Gia Scott-Heron's acclaimed play Bluesology and the return of Gold Standard from Palms Up Academy all leading up to the Inkslam Invitational brought to you by Da Poetry Lounge on the final day of the festival.

All access Festival Passes available which grant you entry to all Get Down events, as well as free admission to the  Melrose Trading Post for all Sundays in April for you and a guest!
