WORD RECOGNITION EVENT

Join us June 2–4 for three days of engaging, practical professional learning focused on word recognition, a foundational component of early literacy. Designed for K–3 educators, this institute explores evidence-based practices to strengthen phonemic awareness, phonics instruction, and automatic word recognition.

Participants will:

• build background knowledge in the Science of Reading and Structured Literacy
• deepen content knowledge of the word recognition domain
• explore research-based strategies for teaching word recognition skills
• engage in hands-on activities with resources ready for immediate classroom use
• examine the connections among decoding, fluency, and comprehension

COMPREHENSION EVENT

Join us July 14–16 for three days of engaging, practical professional learning focused on reading comprehension, a critical component of skilled reading. Designed for K–3 educators, this institute explores evidence-based practices to support students in constructing meaning from text.

Participants will:

• build background knowledge in the Science of Reading and Structured Literacy
• deepen content knowledge of the comprehension domain
• explore research-based strategies for developing language comprehension skills
• engage in hands-on activities and classroom-ready resources
• examine the connections among decoding, fluency, and comprehension

Whether you are strengthening your content knowledge or refining existing practices, this Comprehension Institute offers deep content and practical tools to deepen students' understanding of text.

Participants may register for one or both sessions!
Note: Tickets will only list the first session date for the event, however this includes all three days for the event selected.
