About this Event
Event summary
This in-person event is designed to help L3 Early Career Researchers who are planning to submit a fellowship application and want dedicated time to shaping it. Many funders assess applications through the same three lenses: Person, Place and Project so we have designed this event around these aspects.
You will hear from speakers and then have dedicated writing time to work on these three elements of the fellowship.
Who should attend
L3 ECRs who:
- have an idea for a fellowship application
- are in a position to develop it on the day
- want practical guidance and structured time to make progress
What we’ll cover: the 3 P’s
- Person – positioning you as the right candidate: track record and potential, research identity/vision, and evidence of independence/leadership.
- Place – strengthening fit and feasibility: why this environment, what access/infrastructure/support you’ll have, and how it enables a distinct programme of work.
- Project – shaping a fundable proposal: research question and significance, objectives and feasibility, timeline/work packages, impact, and risk mitigation.
What you’ll leave with
- A structured outline across Person, Place and Project
- Concrete next-steps for your application
Full speaker line up to follow.
**We have a finite amount of funding to provide tea, coffee and lunch and may be able to cover travel expenses. These will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
