The original class has to be postponed because we didn't sell end tickets to cover the costs associated with having the class. Join us and world renowned lighting director, designer, and teacher Richard Cadena for this amazing live event lighting tech class!!! L1 and L2 1 day classes offered on successive days - come to one or both. You will learn what you need to know to be your best L1 or L2 lighting tech in the live event production industry, presented by Richard Cadena, ETCP RT/CEE.
In this class, we will cover the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to be a successful lighting tech in the live event production industry. You will learn about different lighting equipment, including lamps, fixtures, and control systems. We will also cover basic power distribution principles, how to set up and operate lighting systems for live events, and electrical safety.
Throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to practice your skills through hands-on exercises and demonstrations. You will learn how to hang and focus lighting fixtures, how to read and generate paperwork, and troubleshoot common issues that may arise during a live event.
By the end of the class, you will have a solid understanding of the role of an L1/L2 lighting tech and the skills needed to be successful in the field. You will be ready to begin your career as a lighting tech or to further your education in this exciting and dynamic industry.
