Tokona te Raki, supported by Grow Waitaha and The Wayne Francis Charitable Trust invites Māori and Pacific student leaders (age 16 years and over) to attend a series of wānanga designed to encourage a movement for positive change in our education system.This wānanga is for rangatahi. Every rangatahi who participates will be offered a koha for their contribution and kai will be provided.

Kōkirihia - the plan for removing streaming from our schools was released in March 2023. It reflects the commitment of 15 education agencies towards ending harmful streaming (ability grouping) in our classrooms. This opportunity seeks to elevate the voices of our rangatahi and to empower them to guide the next steps to create positive change.
It is the birthright of every rangatahi to have access to a fair and just education.
We want every school/kura to create an environment where all rangatahi have the tools to achieve their dreams and aspirations.
