In 1986, they evolved into The Kentucky Headhunters, setting the stage for a groundbreaking career.Their debut album, 1989’s Pickin’ On Nashville, released by Mercury Records, stunned the music world—selling over two million copies and earning a Grammy Award, three Country Music Association Awards, an American Music Award, and an Academy of Country Music Award, while producing four consecutive Top 40 country hits.
