Kweer Sheffield - Lino Printing Workshop #2
Advertisement
Join us for our second lino printing workshop & create your own lino print!
About this Event
Ready to get creative? Join us for an intro to lino printing!
This is the second of a series of 3 workshops that will take you from the very beginning of understanding what lino printing is, learning about how to use the tools safely, the basic printing process, and you will be creating a single colour print using simple cutting techniques.
If you came to workshop 1, you can bring your lino block, and work on turning it into a multicoloured print using the jigsaw technique, or if you fancy doing something different, you can make another design with your knowledge and skills from session 1.
If you didn't come to session 1, don't worry - Laura will be there to take any newcomers through the process right from the start. On the order form, indicate if you came to session 1 or not, so we can plan the session appropriately.
A set of instructions will be sent out before the workshop so you'll know what to do and what to bring.
By the end of the workshop series you will have the skills to create a multi-colour print using more complex cutting and printing techniques.
Our tutor for the event is Laura, a Birmingham based artist who uses the city as inspiration for her prints. She has been recreationally creating lino art for 6 years, and has been selling her prints at local arts markets, taking commissions, and running lino workshops for just over a year.
