Kwanzaa is a powerful weeklong celebration that highlights the rich African heritage within African-Caribbean culture. Observed from December 26th to January 1st it is a time of reflection joy and togetherness culminating in a grand feast and the sharing of gifts.
Discover the meaning behind the seven candles (Mishumaa Saba) which symbolize the seven core principles of Kwanzaa: Unity Self-Determination Collective Work and Responsibility Cooperative Economics Purpose Creativity and Faith.
