6.-7. juni 2026 presenterer Stavanger kommune og Koffi & Højgaard Kunstdøgn – 24 timer med performancekunst og temporære kunstprosjekter i Stavanger sentrum, og Eiganes og Våland bydel.
Kunstdøgnet utfolder seg som et inspirerende og levende program, hvor publikum inviteres til å utforske både kjente og mindre kjente deler av byen. Kunstdøgnet skaper rom for performancekunstens overraskende og opprørske impulser – dens evne til å bryte med hverdagen, utfordre vår oppmerksomhet og åpne for nye måter å møte både byen og hverandre på.
Kunstdøgnet begynner 6. juni kl. 12.00 og varer til 7. juni kl. 12.00. Programmet kan oppleves enten i deler eller som en helhet gjennom dag og natt.
Oppdag et bredt spekter av performances – noen nye, andre gjenskapt for anledningen – med lokale, nasjonale og internasjonale kunstnere som presenterer ulike perspektiver og fortellinger, med et særlig fokus på omsorg for kroppen, naturen og sameksistens.
Vi har gleden av å presentere kunstnerne som deltar i Kunstdøgnet: Nils Bech, Ahmed Umar, Rita Marhaug, Nicolai Risbjerg, Cooking Therapy, Anne Marte Overaa, Simin Stine Ramezanali, Hamid Waheed, Siri Borge, Becoming Species, Veslemøy Flotve, og flere annonsert snart.
Kunsthall Stavanger fungerer som en sentral vert og informasjonsbase i åpningstidene, og vil være vertskap for åpningsforestillingen til Kunstdøgn, sammen med andre aktiviteter som snart vil bli annonsert. Den 6. juni markerer Kunsthall Stavanger også åpningen av sin nye hage – et nytt sted for samtidskunst og fellesskap – med et program av performance og nybestilte verk. Dette markerer starten på utendørspresentasjoner som vil utvikle seg over tid.

Kunstdøgnet er en del av kunstprogrammet Der vi møtes – kunst i uterom, som er Stavanger kommunes største satsing på kunst i offentlige rom noensinne. Kunsthall Stavanger deltar i Kunstdøgnet som en sentral vertsinstitusjon. Flere kulturaktører og institusjoner, som Stavanger kunstmuseum og Domkirken, bidrar også til Kunstdøgnets program. On June 6-7 2026 Stavanger Municipality and Koffi & Højgaard present Kunstdøgn (24 Hours of Art), transforming the city center of Stavanger and the Eiganes and Våland district into a platform for performances and temporary artistic interventions.
Kunstdøgnet unfolds as an inspiring and vibrant 24-hour programme that invites the public to explore both familiar and lesser-known parts of the city, aiming to make room for the surprising and rebellious impulses of performance art – its ability to disrupt the everyday, challenge our attention, and create new ways of encountering both the city and each other.
Commencing on June 6 from 12pm and lasting until 12pm on June 7, Kunstdøgn is a durational art performance programme offering spontaneous and temporal encounters with art, which can be experienced in segments or in its entirety through day and night.
Discover a wide range of performances – some new, some recreated for the occasion – with local, national and international artists offering various perspectives and narratives with a heightened focus on caretaking of the body, nature and coexistence.

Kunsthall Stavanger serves as a central venue and information hub during opening hours, and will host the opening performance of Kunstdøgn, together with other activities soon to be announced. On June 6, Kunsthall Stavanger will also mark the opening of its new garden – a new site for contemporary art and community gathering – with a programme of performance and newly commissioned work, marking the beginning of outdoor presentations that will unfold over time.

Kunstdøgnet is part of the art programme The Places We Meet – Art in Public Spaces, which is the Stavanger Municipality’s largest initiative in public art to date. Kunsthall Stavanger is participating in Kunstdøgnet as a central host institution. Several other cultural actors and institutions, such as Stavanger Art Museum and the Stavanger Cathedral, are also contributing to Kunstdøgnet’s programme. More information will be available soon.
