About this Event

Bhakti is known as the Yoga of the heart. Mantra music will help you to flow easily in a meditative mind space. Kundalini will recenter your energy system and help you to deepen your connection within.

What to Expect:

  • Indian Ritual: To arrive in the space, we start with a welcoming ritual in traditional Indian style
  • Kundalini Yoga Practice: To warm-up our bodies and let the energy flow. Kundalini Yoga helps us to activate our nervous system but also to build resilience while practicing.
  • Guided Mantra Chanting: To open our throat chakra we will start with AUM chanting and a meditation practice followed by different mantras. You are invited to sing along. If you prefer silence, you are welcome to meditate and sit in stillness.
  • Homemade Chai and connection: To find meaningful conversations with each other and share joy, we invite you for a hot and flavorful Masala Tea after chanting.

Meet Your Host

Sophie and Kartik

Sophie and Kartik – a union between India and Germany. Both love to spread their yogic vibes in different settings and are eager to make you experience ancient wisdom of Indian ceremonies and mantras.
As their own personal practice, both Sophie and Kartik do Yoga for more than 10 years. In 2019, they first got trained as Hatha teachers in Rishikesh, followed by different teacher trainings in Germany and worldwide. Yoga is a main connecting part of their relationship and also helps to experience life in its fullness by finding a steady path and rhythm in between all the ups and downs of life.
Sophie is passionate about Kundalini Yoga practices taught by Yogi Bhajan. Still, she discovers her
own relaxing and soothing style of different Kriyas to refrain from overstimulation and fast-paced breathwork. Kundalini asanas are powerful tools to be more present, yet everyone has to find their own groove and rhythm to not “burn out”. Same as off the mat.
Kartik loves finding peace in teaching meditation and chanting as it combines his love for the mighty Himalayan mountains (his home) with his life here in Germany. Different mantras affect different moods, and this is how he is building up their Bhakti Yoga sessions. Checking in with the energies available on the day of the event, with current topics. Instruments like a local drum and the harmonium will make you feel like you are in India when closing your eyes and feeling the beat.
