Kukur Puja- Festival of Dog is a pawsome event dedicated to our furry friends! It is a unique celebration in Nepal dedicated to honoring dogs, part of the five-day Diwali festival, also known as the Festival of Lights. As one of the key days in Tihar, it recognizes the loyalty and companionship of dogs by blessing them with garlands, tika (a sacred mark), and offering them special treats. This heartwarming tradition celebrates the bond between humans and dogs, acknowledging their role as protectors and loyal friends. Kukur Tihar is a beautiful reflection of the reverence for animals in Nepali culture.

Please note that a professional photographer will be on-site to capture photos of you and your furry friends at no cost. A food truck from Longmont Social will also be available for you to purchase food and refreshments throughout the event. As a reminder, all dog owners are responsible for their pets and must keep them on a leash at all times.
