Den 9. november samles vi til et fakkeloptog i Aarhus for at mindes Krystalnatten, der fandt sted for 87 år siden. Denne tragiske begivenhed markerede begyndelsen på en systematisk forfølgelse af jøder, da nazisterne angreb jødiske butikker, brændte synagoger og hjem i Tyskland.
I dag er jøder i Danmark desværre stadig udsat for en alvorlig stigning i antisemitisme, og vi som samfund har nu behov for at stå sammen for at vise, at en begivenhed som Krystalnatten aldrig må finde sted igen.
Alle er velkomne, uanset etnisk baggrund samt religiøst og politisk tilhørsforhold. Vores mål er at skabe sammenhold og ikke polarisering.
Vi mødes kl. 18:00 på Store Torv ved Domkirken, hvor faklerne vil blive udleveret. Herfra går vi sammen mod Rådhuspladsen, hvor der vil være taler og musikalske indslag.
Talere vil løbende blive offentliggjort.
Initiativet til dette arrangement er taget af fem unge med jødisk baggrund fra Aarhus og omegn.

On November 9th, we will gather for a torchlit procession in Aarhus to commemorate Kristallnacht, which took place 87 years ago. This devastating event marked the beginning of the systematic persecution of Jews, as the Nazis attacked Jewish shops, burned synagogues and homes in Germany.
Today, Jews in Denmark are unfortunately still experiencing a significant increase in antisemitism and therefore, we need to stand together as a united community to demonstrate that an event like Kristallnacht has no place in our society and will never be allowed to take place again.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of ethnic, religious or political background or beliefs. Our goal is to foster unity and not polarisation.
We will meet at 18:00 at Store Torv by the Cathedral (Domkirken), where torches will be handed out. From here, we will march together towards the city hall square (Rådhuspladsen) where there will be speeches and musical performances.
Speakers will be announced continuously.
The initiative for this event was taken by five young people of Jewish background from Aarhus and the surrounding area.
Let's shine a light in the darkness, and show that we stand united against antisemitism.
