WEATHER PERMITTINGThis is an introduction/practice day for anyone wanting to work on their big loop roping. Whether you're a seasoned pro looking to practice specific skills or shots, or you're simply curious what Ranch Roping is all about, this very casual event is for you!
We'll have the arena and cattle ready to work on whatever skills you need or want to work on. If you want to test your hand at ranch roping, there will be seasoned ropers to help set that up for you safely.
After everyone has a chance to work on whatever they like, we'll do a jackpot roping. THIS WILL NOT COUNT TOWARDS YEAR-END POINTS. Entry will be $10 per person per run or $30 a team. Pick your teams, or enter a random draw and run as many times as your pocketbook allows. We will run on our traditional rules. Payout will be 90 percent of whatever money total is paid in that day. Depending on interest and time, we'll either do 1 round and a short round or a winner-takes-all 1 round.
