A German-Style Christmas Market Benefiting the Clifton Forge School of the Arts

Experience the magic of the holiday season at the 15th Annual Kriskindlmarkt, our Appalachian mountain town’s festive take on a traditional European Christmas market!
Step inside “The Mill,” our beautifully repurposed 100+ year-old lumber mill behind the School, and explore a cozy indoor marketplace filled with artisan vendors, handcrafted gifts, seasonal décor, and holiday cheer. Additional vendors, a special gallery exhibit, and more can also be found throughout the main Clifton Forge School of the Arts building.
Bring your friends and family for a weekend filled with festive shopping, live entertainment, German-inspired food and drink, sweet treats, and holiday traditions. Enjoy visits with Santa, seasonal music and dance performances, and the warm spirit of community throughout the event.
Be sure to stroll through our “Garden Illumination” holiday light display, which comes to life Friday evening at dark!
ADMISSION
$5 admission (cash or card accepted)
Children 12 and under enter free.
ARTISAN VENDORS
Shop from over 40 artisan vendors offering high-quality handcrafted goods including jewelry, woodworking, pottery, soaps, hand-knit items, bags & purses, baked goods, antique tiles, and much more. Perfect for unique holiday gift shopping!
LIVE MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT
Enjoy a variety of live music and dance performances throughout the weekend, bringing even more festive energy to the market.
FOOD & DRINK
Warm up with European-style breads and pastries, authentic Glühwein and German beer (21+), mulled apple cider, hot chocolate, and delicious seasonal food offerings.
RAFFLES
Enter raffles featuring artisan-made items generously donated by Kriskindlmarkt vendors and supporters.
All proceeds benefit the Clifton Forge School of the Arts and help support arts education opportunities for people of all ages and abilities throughout the Alleghany Highlands of Virginia.
