50 YEARS OF KOURAKU! 1976–2026
Kouraku is turning 50, and we’re throwing a big birthday party in Little Tokyo!
Join us on Sunday, November 8, from 11 AM–4 PM for Kouraku Matsuri, a FREE community street carnival celebrating 50 years of food, family, and Little Tokyo.
Since 1976, Kouraku has been serving Japanese comfort food to generations of Angelenos. Recognized as America’s oldest operating ramen shop, we’re excited to celebrate this milestone with our customers, neighbors, friends, and the whole community!
🎪 WHAT’S HAPPENING?
- 🎯 Street Carnival: Fun games, prizes, and activities for all ages!
- 🍜 Kouraku Food Samples: Enjoy complimentary tastes of some of our favorite dishes.
- 🥟 Gyoza Challenge: How many dumplings can you fold in 3 minutes?
- 🎨 “It’s Not A…” Drawing Contest: Get creative with Kouraku-inspired drawings!
- 👕 50th Anniversary Merchandise: Win special Kouraku items made for the celebration.
- 🍶 Secret Bar: A special 21+ beverage experience inside Kouraku.
🎁 RSVP FOR A CHANCE TO WIN A KOURAKU SWAG BAG!
The event is FREE and open to everyone. No RSVP is required to attend!
But if you register on Eventbrite, you’ll be entered for a chance to win a special Kouraku 50th Anniversary Swag Bag!
We’ll randomly select winners from registered attendees and notify them by email on Friday, November 6.
Winners can pick up their swag bags in person at Kouraku Matsuri on Sunday, November 8.
