Kotatsu Japanese Animation Festival 2024

Kotatsu Festival returns this October with another programme of the finest Japanese animated films.

The Kotatsu Festival has been running since 2010 at venues around Wales. A ‘Kotatsu‘ is a table unique to Japan which is draped in a blanket futon or quilt with a heater underneath. It’s ideal to keep your feet and legs warm at family gatherings or while you are working away on the cold winter nights. So come on in pull the blanket around you and enjoy some of the finest Japanese animation available.

This year we are screening 9 feature films from the latest to the classics. This is your rare chance to watch the director Hayao Miyazaki's first feature film Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro on the big screen!

Marketplace / Manga Kissa

The Kotatsu stand will be there to greet everyone and answer any questions. Have a read in our Manga Kissa the free reading area where the reading materials are also for sale. Manga/Comic/DVDs donations are very welcome and all money raised will be used for future Kotatsu events.
