** Parade begins at 7pm - ARRIVE before 6PM! **
Join KK and friends for the 2024 Village Halloween Parade and our 24th annual dance party up 6th ave with Emcee Christopher Hardwick, DJ Rafael De La Cruz and the 200+ people who manage to get to our float before 7pm.
Adding our quirky seasoning to this year's Halloween Parade theme POT LUCK, we brew up a cauldron of weird and wonderful delights. Come as you favorite Food, Tastey Animal or Anything Delicious. Its HALLOWEEN and the theme at the NYC Halloween Parade is always Glorious Chaos.
Inviting all dancers, costumers, hoopers and flow artists to join our rolling party up 6th avenue. To be on the float YOU MUST BE IN A GOOD COSTUME while all are invited to dance around us and, jump on & off the float as capacity allows.
FLOAT INFO:
The Parade travels up 6th avenue from Spring Street, kicking off at 7pm but you must get there before 6pm or have well-practiced crowd navigation skills to get through. Parade is Friday and it will INSANE this year… Latecomers will be sad and texts will be missed — PLAN EARLY, RSVP here, DO NOT BRING BAGS and reach out to your in-the-know KK friends for parade access passes needed if you arrive after 6pm
RULES
- COSTUMES MANDATORY: The precious few float spots are reserved for the most spectacular costumers and all those who make KK happen year-around. Take turns, jump on-jump off the float, high five the crowd and listen to the emcee and float wranglers (or else!!).
- NO BAGS - LIMITED PORTO's (with long lines)... Please keep intake low until afterpartying and only bring what you can carry. No Bags On The Float !!!!
- SAY YES immediately to whatever Float Organizers ask... Be agreeable or be gone!
PARADE LOGISTICS:
- GATHER by the float before 6pm on Broome Street on west conrer of 6th Ave(safest option) or, after ~6pm-7:15 at the 6th Avenue staging position just south of Spring Street - next to the small park where the bands gather.
- PERFORMER PASSES - Needed to get through the barricades if you arrive after 6pm. Passes not available yet but coming soon. DM Claire
- ACCESS: Best to approach 6th avenue from the *WEST SIDE* and we recommend walking up from the Canal Street subways... The Spring Street C/E train is the closest stop - BUT the downtown side (good) is west side and the uptown side (bad) is east side of 6th Avenue (impossible to cross 6th ave after 630 without walking all the way around)
- DISPERSE: the float travels up 6th Ave and turns left on 18th Street where we quickly break down the float -- with walkers pushed rightward onto 17th Street (jump on the float at 16th street if you want to stick with us!)

You Betcha... HALLOWEEN IS A FRIDAY THIS YEAR so this will be an EPIC NIGHT.... Kostume Kult will be a centerpiece at House of Yes's VAMPIRE BALL in Industry City.... Meaning: we jump off the float, head to the F train, switch at west 4th Street to the D Train and zoom-zoom to the 36th Street Brooklyn and walk a few short blocks to Industry City - same exact spot, and same KK settup as City Of Gods... GET INVOLVED, Help Build or Break Down the Float and get comped! (all info TBA soon)
