The kood/Empower coding bootcamp is the opening stage of the kood/Garage48 Empowering Women programme — four days in Jõhvi where women from Ida-Virumaa get their first real taste of programming and the tech industry.
Over four days you will:
Learn the fundamentals of coding, starting from zero
Build your first simple digital solutions with your own hands
Explore the different roles in tech — because it's not all developers
Get a realistic picture of what a day in the life of a developer actually looks like
Is it for me?
Women in Ida-Virumaa who are curious about technology. You don't need an IT background, a business background, or a plan. What you need is interest, openness to learning, and the willingness to try something new.
Can I go further?
The bootcamp is step one of three. It's followed by the Garage48 Empowering Women hackathon on 16–18 October, where teams turn ideas into working prototypes in 48 hours, and the best teams continue into an accelerator running from October to December.
You can join the bootcamp on its own — but many participants find that four days is exactly enough to want more.
Good to know
The working language is English. Mentors also support participants in Estonian and Russian when needed.
