Join our Kol Ami Outdoors group for a hike in Big Cottonwood Canyon! This moderate, 2.8-mile out-and-back trail takes approximately two hours to complete. Starting above 9,000 feet of elevation, short portions of the trail are steep and rocky. Leashed dogs are allowed on most of this trail, but are not allowed at the lake. Kol Ami Outdoors is a club open to synagogue members or those enrolled in our Introduction to Jewish Life course. We organize outdoor activities—such as hikes—with fellow congregants, exploring the beautiful natural spaces we cherish here in Utah. Grounded in Jewish values and focused on building relationships, we aim to host monthly activities that celebrate Utah’s beauty while strengthening our community.
