About this Event
Join award-winning photographer and filmmaker Daniel Sullivan for Koholā, a powerful exploration of the cultural significance of humpback whales in Hawai‘i. In the wake of the Lahaina wildfires, the return of these majestic creatures offers a symbol of hope, healing, and ancestral connection.
Sullivan, known for The Maui Coast: Legacy of the Kings Highway and Maui Mauka to Makai, has spent 20 years capturing the beauty of Maui. His work has been featured on National Geographic, Discovery, and Green Planet with David Attenborough. Now, his lens focuses on Lahaina’s recovery and the annual whale migration in his latest film, Koholā.
