বাঙালি জাতিসত্তার অবিচ্ছেদ্য অংশ আমাদের মহান মুক্তিযুদ্ধ। সেই তপ্ত লড়াই আর বিজয়ের গৌরবগাথাকে কবিতার ছন্দে নতুন করে তুলে ধরতে দক্ষিণ অস্ট্রেলিয়ার অ্যাডিলেডে আয়োজিত হতে যাচ্ছে একটি বিশেষ সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান। ‘কবিতায় স্বাধীনতা’ শিরোনামের এই আয়োজনে স্মরণ করা হবে সেই সব সূর্যসন্তানদের, যাঁদের আত্মত্যাগের বিনিময়ে আমরা পেয়েছি লাল-সবুজের মানচিত্র।অনুষ্ঠানটির মূল আকর্ষণ হিসেবে থাকছে অ্যাডিলেডের স্থানীয় প্রতিশ্রুতিশীল আবৃত্তি শিল্পী এবং সাংস্কৃতিক কর্মীদের পরিবেশনা। শেকড় থেকে দূরে থাকলেও উত্তরসূরিদের হৃদয়ে বাংলাদেশের সমৃদ্ধ ঐতিহ্য ও মুক্তিযুদ্ধের চেতনা সঞ্চার করাই এই অনুষ্ঠানের মূল লক্ষ্য।

The Great Liberation War is an inseparable part of the Bengali identity. To relive those tales of fiery struggle and glorious victory through the rhythm of poetry, a special cultural event titled "Kobita-y Shadhinota" (Independence in Poetry) is being organized in Adelaide, South Australia. This event will serve as a tribute to the "Golden Sons" of our soil, whose supreme sacrifice gifted us the map of red and green.
The heart of the program will feature performances by talented local reciters and cultural artists from Adelaide. A core objective of this gathering is to instill the rich heritage of Bangladesh and the spirit of the Liberation War into the hearts of our next generation, even while living far from our roots.
