Knox County CERT Disaster Preparedness Training

Community Emergency Response Training (CERT) teaches participants about hazards that could affect our community, how to prepare for them and how to help your family, neighbors, or coworkers in the immediate aftermath of an emergency, before responders arrive.
In November we will cover the CERT Unit 5: Fire Safety curriculum. November training will take place at the Knoxville Fire Department Training Center (3411 Vice Mayor Jack Sharp Rd, Knoxville, TN 37914)
CERT is a nationally supported initiative hosted by the Knoxville-Knox County Emergency Management Agency (KEMA) in partnership with local emergency response agencies. The Knox County CERT program is focused on personal preparedness training for disasters and connecting people with local volunteer agencies for response opportunities.
CERT is free to community members and takes place 6:30-9:00 PM the first Tuesday of each month in most cases.
